Illinois: Chicago Police are conducting a homicide investigation following the shooting death of a 73-year-old male retired Chicago Police Department Officer in Chicago, Illinois on June 20, 2024. At approximately 11:32 a.m., Thursday morning on the 4300 block of W. Monroe Street, a 73-year-old male victim, a retired Chicago Police Officer sustained gunshot wounds to the body and was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
