Colwyn Bay, Wales. In the snake pit at the Welsh Mountain Zoo we see several shots of 'The Snake Man', Pat Fletcher, handling snakes. He shows and Indian Rock Python to the crowd, then takes a Cobra and gets it to sink it's fangs into a large chunk of cotton wool to 'milk' the venom. Several shots of snakes with open, angry mouths; more (presumably Cobras) are made to bite the cotton wool - yeuch! Commentator tells us the venom is used to make anti-snake-bite serum. The crowd looks fascinated, in a horrified kind of way. Cuts exist - see separate record. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
