Sports at Roehampton, London. A man wearing shorts and knee socks heaves a shot-put; audience of soldiers and nurses in BG; in front of a long building. Pan right; quick shot of a few soldiers standing by what looks like a swing set; with various attachments. like a barrel hanging from it. Then another shot-putter. Flash frame; blank screen. High jump. Then an odd race; with guys running a few yards forward; picking up some small thing; running back away approaching. Hurdles. tug-of-war. Soldiers & sailors running a race; coming across finish line; wearing dress uniforms. Silly sports (same ones seem to be at all these military sports days) - like the wheelbarrow; spear; bucket of water event; Several pairs compete in this one; including the first team I've seen yet who succeeded in throwing the spear through the hole in the contraption overhead without spilling the water!
