(Re-upload) Sandy Powers seems to have come out of nowhere and disappeared there again. She debuted on Ariola with the schlager single Hey Sam early 1979, followed by a disco cover of the standard Feelings in the fall of that year. An LP appeared on Ariola, January 1980 (all tracks produced by Jack White and arranged by Charles Blackwell) but sank without a trace. A third single Midnight Moonbeam (1980) and Rock It Out (1981) were equally unsuccessful. Rock It Out bizarrely announced “Soon Available: Her First Album“, hinting that the LP may have been planned for a reissue, had Rock It Out been a hit (It was later covered by Pia Zadora in 1984). Then strangely, another Jack White discovery, Judy Jackson, appeared ... releasing the singles My Hometown, Paradise Generation, Shake-A-Belly, and Electric Love. These 4 tracks ended up on an equally scarce 1983 LP with 6 of Sandy Powers' recordings from 1979! I suspect they are all the same singer. No TV-appearances have surfaced w
