Another sparring exercise putting the spear against the sword with a range of shields. All but one has a shield, except the spearman at the back who fights without and with spear in two hands. Spears range from feet long. The shields are mix, two classic Viking/Saxon punch grip round shields. One Medieval heater shield, and one Renaissance steel rotella. The other three are police riot shields which are a good approximation of the rotella, just much lighter. This is not melee, but one on one sparring bouts. Melee was also filmed at this session and will feature soon.
