Police pursuit leads to arrest of man in Muskego pond

45-year-old Maurice Rogers led Waukesha County law enforcement officers on a high-speed pursuit after allegedly fleeing a sobriety test in New Berlin, Wisconsin on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Rogers drove across several lawns, farm fields and through Park Arthur in Muskego. Rogers crashed into a New Berlin police vehicle during the pursuit which ended when Rogers drove into a pond. The man was charged with felony attempt to flee an officer, felony first-degree reckless driving, felony criminal damage to a highway or vehicle and two counts of misdemeanor property damage.
