How to paint a portrait after Rubens (2nd Glaze)

Here I deepen the colours and shadows on this portrait. I learned how Rubens used glazes to do this and was left in awe of his painting technique. I learned that you can do this with only a few colours. His palette was almost a so called Zorn palette, just White, Yellow Ochre and Vermillion plus here some umbers and black. Picasso said that you can't teach technique so what we can really learn is only how we can apply our experience to our own painting practice.
