The flames of 10,000 torches lit up the city of Kiev on January 1 to commemorate Ukrainian nationalist leader Stepan Bandera’s 105th birthday anniversary. Demonstrators marched along the major streets of the capital after departing from Mikhailovskaya Street. The leaders of right-wing All-Ukrainian Union “Svoboda“ Oleg Tyagnibok and Andrey Mokhnik took part in the march. Vitaly Klitchko’s opposition party UDAR kept its distance, arguing that the march is not supported by All-Ukrainian Maidan movement
