Titles read: “SUPER GLASS!“. Location of events unknown - probably United States of America. Various shots of men working to make a new kind of extremely strong heat-resistant glass in a workshop. Molten glass is pressed into moulds then the dish shape is left to cool on a rack. The dish is put into an acid bath, then into a small oven. After 6 hours in the oven the glass is dunked into a tub of ice-cold water without breaking or cracking. White hot liquid metal is poured into the dish, making no impression. The dish, resting on a block of ice, is heated with an acetylene torch but still stays intact. Final shot shows more liquid metal being poured into the dish. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
