All those words (an aim, object, an objective, a goat, idea, a target, the end) which are synonymous with ’a purpose’ are not only about goals and means, but also the inevitable obstacles to achieving them. The more pretentious the motivators like “I see the goal – I see no obstacles!” are the sillier they sound. These days most people are finding it hard to make ends but hopefully it’s not going to become your purpose of life.
