Probably the greatest pilot of all time , Bob Hoover became famous with these aerobatics manoeuvres. I have seen lately through social media , a gentleman trying to imitate Bob. Rolling the airplane while pouring a glass with both engines off. It sure is a great stunt but Bob Hoover was much more than just an air show pilot. He started his flying career during the Second World War. He was caught by enemy fire and later capture by the Germans. Craziest part of this story is that he managed to escape prison by stealing one of the enemiesFock Wulf fighter plane that was sitting on the tarmac at the time ! Imagine the sensation! Fleeing from above waving at the Germans on board their own plane! After the war, he continued as an test pilot on different fighter jets, giving training and performing experimental flights for the army. He died at the venerable age of 94 years old in 2016. Now would try any of these daredevil manoeuvres? Not for me 😅
