It all started long before “Maidans” in Ukraine. From the history of journalism. December 27, 1989: a story for the “Vremya“ program. A press conference was held in Moscow on the recent development of the religious situation in the western regions of Ukraine. There is a violent seizure of churches belonging to Orthodox communities and desecration of their shrines. To date, only 4 of the 19 churches in Lvov remain in the hands of Orthodox communities.
