Take videos like this with your own DJI drone: Here is a video I shot with my drone flying above Old Rome (the municipal districts of Ponte, Regola, and Parione), also sometimes known as Navona. As I am not familiar with drone regulations in Rome (though the Hover app showed no restrictions in the area), so I decided to simply fly straight up and back down, with 360 degree pans at various altitude levels. I really like how it came out. Landmarks you can see in this video include The Vatican, Castel Sant'Angelo (formerly Hadrian's mausoleum), Piazza Navona, The Pantheon, The Capitoline Hill, Campo de Fiori, The Tiber River, and more. Rome is a city that is begging to be properly shot with a drone-based camera. It's safe to assume there are regulations about flying a drone around all the famous Roman landmarks, but if the city ever were to grant me a special license, I'd be on the first plane back to Rome. The music that accompanies this video was suggested by my wife. It is a well-known 90's Italian pop song called “Diamante“ by Zucchero Fornaciari.
