Inspired by bands like Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk he realises his first musical ideas with self-built soundsources in 1978. In this time also his first band starts with Michael Kersten, from which Mind-Flux (also known as Fanger & Kersten) emerges that later released music on the electronic cultlabel IC/Digit.
