Aerial footage captured in Japan’s Ishikawa prefecture showed the widespread destruction caused by a series of strong earthquakes that hit the country’s coastal region on New Year’s Day. Aftershocks continued to shake Ishikawa prefecture and nearby areas a day after a earthquake hit the area on Monday afternoon. Footage from broadcaster NTV showed smoke and flames rising from buildings in the city of Wajima on Tuesday.
