BLENDER: RETRO PAY PHONE MODELING (PART 2)

In this video, I model the keyhole (lock?) and the phone receiver. I want to stress that the method I used to model the receiver is okay but probably not really the way you would want to model it if you needed something more realistic. You want to be using nurbs or patch modeling. There are practically no good phone receiver videos for Blender and just a few for Maya and Max. Those are worth watching, however. But if you just need a quick phone receiver, this should get you moving in a decent direction. And don't let the cavity shader give you a false impression of how sharp some of the top edges might appear because when textured in Substance Painter (or Blender), those edges are much less apparent as you will see at the very end of the video where I show an image of a textured receiver that I did as a test. There are just a few more objects to model for this pay phone and I hope I can cover them all in the next video and then get into texturing this in Substance Painter and submit it
