Becky G: ESQUEMAS, Collaborating with KAROL G, and Writing Songs with Intention | Apple Music

Becky G joins Zane Lowe in the studio for a conversation about her album, ‘ESQUEMAS.’ Having more time at home in 2021 afforded Becky G the opportunity to create music under her own terms for the first time and she thrived in that freedom. Becky G wrote the first half of ‘ESQUEMAS’ from a difficult place in her mental health journey, the creation of the album helped her learn how to confidently articulate those struggles. She also shares details working alongside her friend Anitta, and recording “MAMIII” with KAROL G. Becky G explains that she is deeply inspired by other Latinas in the music industry, and looks forward to continuing to share the space with them.
