Since the 2010s, as the United States has adjusted its strategic focus and shifted its major military forces towards the Asia-Pacific region, it has concentrated its efforts on comprehensive containment of China in economic, military, and political aspects. Frictions between China and the US have become increasingly frequent as a result. Especially on key issues such as the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea, the continuous growth of China’s maritime and air power and the increased presence of US military aircraft and warships claiming “freedom of navigation“ in the region have undoubtedly intensified the friction between the two sides.
