Natural disaster 7 May 2022. Bridge collapse due to melting Shishper Glacier in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan residents of the tiny village of Hassanabad, in Pakistan’s mountainous Hunza District, noticed floodwaters quickly rising in the stream. This stream runs near their homes, carrying water from the towering Shishper glacier. “The flows became so high that they eroded the land and reached 10 feet from the homes of residents’s families. People were evacuated”.
