Howdy ya’ll. Today we will discuss The Seven Sisters of Moscow, Russia; a series of Seven (with more proposed) Skyscrapers built during the last days of Stalin. These buildings are described as “Stalinist” but the architecture has many aspects that are reminiscent of much older buildings found throughout the world. One thing they all have in common; intricate spires on top of massive towers. We will look through each one of The Seven Sisters of Moscow briefly, before focusing on the never realized Palace of the Soviets, which was designed to be the largest structure on Planet Earth. This is quite a wild bit of history, from Golden structures, antiquitech, the removal, some would say revival of ancient grids, the repurposing of previous structures, and the sheer audacity of a construction project so large, which would reshape Russian History. Let’s dive in! Time stamps; Intro (Discussion about the number “seven” in History) - 0:01 The Seven Sisters - 5:34 Out (Thank you) - 24:19 Links for further research; (Moscow) ,_Moscow
