This is a shootout between a classic dynamic mic, a top end condenser mic, and a pair of DI boxes designed to live between a guitar amp, and external cabinet. The Radial JDX has 'reactive amp simulation'. which makes it's direct signal sound more amp-like than that of the PDI-09. Both the Palmer and the Radial have a good base tone to work with.
