Titles read: “RAF MEN IN AUSTRALIA“. High angle shot shows men of an RAF Bomber and Reconnaissance Squadron marching across an Australian parade ground. The men are in khaki dress and are whistling - brief section of natural sound (not sure of tune). Commentator says they are veterans of the war in the Pacific. M/S pans across a group of the men as the ones in the front say their names and where in Britain they come from - everywhere from Ireland to the Isle of Man. One airmen says “If you're listening Mother, I ain't 'alf missing that Yorkshire pud!“ and the others laugh. Another says “Hello Mother. Everything's alright, but I'm fairly missing the Lancashire hot pot!“ - more laughter. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
