Ready To Relax With Mr. Lees Haircut & Style At The Remodeled Seongu Barbershop | Seoul

Relaxing haircut & hair styling in the newly remodeled “historic“ 성우이용원 Seongu Barbershop in Seoul, South Korea. In 1927, Mr. Lee’s grandfather opened the barbershop. At that time, he was the second Korean who was given a permit for barbering by the occupying Japanese. It was in the 1960s when Mr. Lee began cutting hair. He learned everything from his dad and worked with him until his dad decided to retire. In the 1960s, Mr. Lee remembers there used to be 4-5 barbers working at the shop. Shortly after filming with Mr. Lee in 2019, a severe storm damaged his shop beyond repair. Mr. Lee told us thankfully it was early morning and no customers were in the shop at the time! Sadly, restoration was not possible so a new barbershop was constructed instead. Mr. Lee says he is very happy with the new shop and enjoys working there.
