Mariah Carey - Almost Home (TMC Anthem Radio Mix)

The original “Almost Home“, co-written by Carey, was produced with characteristic electro-pop precision by Norwegian duo Stargate. Mariah hates it, and I can see why. Her vocals were heavily processed, and often times not really correctly placed on-grid. As a matter of fact, for my remix I had to make hundres of minor adjustments to get the vocals on-beat. It’s a shame really, because the song itsself is stunning and could have been a much bigger hit! For my mix I stayed true to the original chords but took the tempo up from 87 BPM to 123 BPM to turn it into an anthemic little house belter. Enjoy!
