In this demonstration, I am weaving a Saori style art piece on a Kromski Rigid Heddle loom. The warp is #10 crochet cotton - roughly half is a variegated yarn and the other half is black. The clasped weft technique allows for making interesting patterns in the weaving without the use of pickup sticks or the need for extra shafts on the loom. Using yarn and fabric inclusions in the body of the weaving adds extra interest and excitement to the woven fabric. I later made this fabric into a vest. You can see it at
