(IT'S STILL JULY 13TH IN MY TIMEZONE, I MADE IT ON TIME KINDA) Even more important than Live Aid, July 13th, 2023 also marks the 50th anniversary of Queen's debut album. Queen Productions sucks ass and completely ignored the occasion, so I decided to make the remix that SHOULD have been done by them, in a sort of “C_Matt Revision“ style. I decided on the track Liar. Simply because it's badass and my favourite song from Queen (album). I mostly brought out the sub bass and high frequencies that essentially go unused in the original mix. Problem is, the high end was super crackly when brought back up, just sort of an issue you've got to deal with when you have a mix as primitive as Queen I's. I tried to minimize this, but it's still slightly present. It's not a perfect mix, but it's pretty much the best I could do without the multitracks. I'll upload an unlisted comparison video showcasing the difference with the mix. It's subtle when you're not directly comparing, but it's definitely there. It's most obvious when Freddie starts singing. Big thanks to @alexvfx3 for supplying me his clean-up of the Liar music video. I genuinely couldn't find this thing anywhere, which delayed this upload by about an hour, so thanks to him.
