Hungary has a long tradition of agricultural flight. Long time ago Hungarian Air Service started spraying with old fixed wing aircrafts, helicopters arrived later, around 1970. The Air Service had a lot of Kamov Ka-26 helicopters, but after 1989 they sold them for small companies. Over the years Kamovs were getting older and older and the spare parts supply became complicated. Around 2005 a couple of company decided to change the Kamov Ka-26 for a modern type. They choose the Alouette II. Aerospatiale SA-318 C Alouette II is a very simple helicopter. It has a powerfull engine, good flight capabilities and very simple structure. The only problem is that agricultural work has to done in big dust what jet turbine engine doesn't like. The Alouette II in the video normally stations near Kaposvár, Toponár.
