Unsurprisingly, Baal, the Lord of Destruction like his brothers, was inspired from real world religions, & like his in-game origins boasts an unusual & disturbing history. Diablo Fans know Baal best for his lust for destruction, unparalleled as is his sadistic delight in causing chaos. The Lord of Destruction, is not a title alone as he is undoubtedly the enemy of all creation. As seen in Diablo 2 where Baal successfully corrupted the reality shaping world stone nearly plunging humanity into eternal darkness. Interestingly, Baal hasn’t always bore the title of Lord of Destruction, in the real world or the diablo franchise alike. In this video we will explore Baals checkered history with humanity in game & how it relates back to his mythos in scripture.
