The new Bentley Mulliner Batur is the most powerful car in the company's history. Bentley sees its future as a manufacturer of electric vehicles, but in the present it is in no hurry to abandon the internal combustion engine. New confirmation of this was the release of the most powerful car in the company’s history, an exclusive grand touring coupe called Batur. The new Bentley Mulliner Batur is powered by an upgraded twin-turbocharged W12 engine that, although entering its old age, is not yet dead and tends to sparkle with new levels of power. Bentley engineers equipped it with a new air intake, upgraded turbochargers, powerful intercoolers and subjected it to numerous recalibrations. In addition to the work under the hood, a titanium exhaust system was prepared with 3D printed titanium exhaust tips. Thanks to these changes, Bentley's legendary W12 develops 740 hp. / 544 kW of power and 1,000 Nm of torque, which is 81 hp more. / 60 kW and 100 Nm more than the Continental GT Speed, which accelerates from 0 to 96 km/h in 3.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 335 km/h. While Bentley refuses to reveal detailed specifications for the Batur, its engine is mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, as well as a fully steerable chassis, torque vectoring and an electronic limited-slip differential. Other features of the Bentley Mulliner Batur include adaptive air suspension and an active electric anti-roll bar. The big coupe also features a CSIC carbon-silicon-carbide braking system with ten-piston calipers and 440mm discs at the front, in addition to four-piston calipers and 410mm discs at the rear. The future of Bentley design In addition to being billed as the most powerful car in Bentley's history, the Batur brings with it the company's new design language that will shape the styling direction of the company's future electric vehicles. Crewe did not go into details, but noted the updated design of the radiator grille with a more vertical orientation, which gives the car a strong and confident look. The Bentley Batur features a new long bonnet design and minimalist headlights inspired by the Bacalar roadster. Moving further, you can note the sharp shapes of the body and a pronounced shoulder line. Designers also moved the car's visual mass rearward, resulting in a sportier, more muscular profile. Other notable features include a power retractable spoiler and uniquely designed 22-inch wheels. Further small details new to the Batur are the front splitter, aerodynamic side skirts and rear diffuser, which will be available in carbon or natural composite fiber in the buyer configurator. The Bentley Mulliner Batur is limited to 18 units, all of which have already been ordered despite a base price of $ million. Each Batur will be designed in collaboration with the owner, including custom color and finish choices on virtually every interior surface. If that's not enough, some interior trim will be available in 18-karat gold. Once the design of each Bentley Mulliner Batur is approved by its buyer, the company will begin hand-assembling it, which takes several months.
