This video demonstrates a more accurate way to sex Egernia species. The example used in the video is Egernia stokesii, however, this works on the depressa complex as well as other species in the genus. Keep in mind that stokesii and depressa have short tails that they do not drop. Longer tailed species such as hosmeri can drop their tails when they are stressed. Hope this helps.
