Ricochet - Release 13th August 2023 Stemming from highly enthused and equally highly intoxicated conversations, the music video was planned to provide a humorous visual showcase of the anarchic lifestyles that inspired the tracks inception. Taken influence from, whilst making a simultaneous mockery of the classic 2004 ‘You Wouldn’t Steal A Car’ public service announcement, part of the anti-copyright infringement campaign ‘Piracy. It’s A Crime’. The video takes a parodic approach to the idea of all the other things you wouldn’t do in exaggeration to those initially proposed in the original advert. Showcasing the bands individual personalities through their Ricochet characters and following them each through narratives that integrate as the video progresses. Each portrays a pastiche of the modern 'scumbag' as they gradually commit increasingly heinous acts, through over twenty total scenes. Behind the scenes the crew consisted of three individuals. With the bands label unable to financially back video projects the bands management and diehard camera man & Co orchestrated a four-day guerrilla style shoot on a very limited independent budget. Filmed in various public locations which brings an air of familiarity to Brighton locals, bringing their chaotic energy to an already unpredictable locale. There is an undeniable charm about the DIY yet highly professional nature of the video, its DIY, its grunge, its filth, its Moth. The hard work, enthusiasm, determination and passion of the Moth extended family is evident by the high production value of their latest cinematic masterpiece. We are delighted to present to you, after all we’ve been through, Ricochet. VIDEO CREDITS: Joseph Lanz Bette Davies Theodore Reuben
