Mount Mahawu is a stratovolcano located east of the Mount Lokon-Gunung Empung volcano in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Mount Mahawu has a width of 180 meters with a crater depth of 140 meters and has two pyroclastic cones on the northern slope, while the height reaches 1,311 m above sea level. This mountain had issued a small eruption in 1789. Then in 1994, Mount Mahawu also released fumarole mud eruptions and geyser activity occurred along the crater lake which was greenish in color and lastly in 1999. Although it is no longer active, the smell of sulfur carried the wind is still clear. The crater lake of this mountain is now small because some of its edges have dried up. Source by Wikipedia
