If you’re in court and want the judge to go easy on you, it’s probably best not to physically attack that judge. Perhaps someone should have explained this to assault suspect Deobra Redden, whose master plan was to show the judge that he wasn’t a violent person by violently attacking her. The incident made headlines earlier this month. To no one’s surprise this didn’t work, and his most recent court appearance was noticeably different, with Redden kitted out in a mask and protective mitts like an goofy Netflix-adaptation-tier Hannibal Lecter. Luckily, women have never been known to bear grudges, and Judge Mary Holthus was no exception. She sentenced Redden to four years in prison for the original assault, emphasizing that the earlier incident had not changed her decision, and that Redden will face a separate trial for attacking her. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Freedom over censorship, truth over narrative.
