As part of our Potato Tour Across Russia, we visited the Boguslavsky Production Cooperative in the Sol-Iletsk district of the Orenburg Region. We were warmly welcomed by Nikolai Vasiliev, one of the founding brothers behind this inspiring family-run farm. Over the years, what began as a small operation has grown into a true multi-generational family business. Today, three generations of the Vasiliev family work the land together. Nikolai is especially proud of his grandchildren, who spend their summers helping with planting and harvesting. While it’s still seasonal for them, he hopes their love for the land and the family business will become a lifelong path.
