Originally produced and recorded in 2006, “Tell Me“ featuring Katy B (On a Mission/Rinse) & Mc Versatile (Crazy Cousins) was DJ NG’s first ever independent release that eventually got picked up & signed by Ministry of Sound/Data records in 2008. This track, alongside a few other influential tracks, went on to help shape the UK urban/underground/dance/club scene (UK Funky) along with other original House & ’funky’ producers like Invasion Records (Fingaprint, O.B & Tadow), Geeneus (Rinse FM), MA1 (Karnival Music) others. Despite “Tell Me“ being the first significant so called, “UK Funky“ track to be signed to a major, no official video was ever made for this song -even though it was promised by the record company.
