In celebration of the 48th anniversary of this show, after being requested by numerous people, here it is. This is known by Zeppelin fans as essentially being “the show that killed Plant's voice“. The story goes that him and Bonham were on their way to this gig when their car broke down, forcing them to hitchhike. Plant ended up catching the flu as a consequence, reducing his voice to a croak for much of this gig. While his voice had been declining for some time prior to this point, this is really the point of no return. He would gradually recover as the month wore on, but he was never quite the same and would always be prone to having gigs where his voice was exceptionally weak. That being said, instrumentally, the band does a good job at covering for him this night. While this recording is very muffled and distant, believe it or not, it is actually a significant improvement over what was available before. In addition, Heartbreaker is available for the first time. Special thanks to Glyn for his excellent transfer and to Ed for revising it! 0:00 Intro 0:34 Rock and Roll 4:20 Over the Hills and Far Away 11:20 Black Dog 17:36 Misty Mountain Hop 22:04 Since I've Been Loving You 30:58 Dancing Days 36:24 The Song Remains the Same 41:48 The Rain Song (cut) 49:28 Dazed and Confused (cut) 1:18:53 Stairway to Heaven (cut) 1:30:10 Whole Lotta Love 1:57:14 Heartbreaker (cut) Bootleg: Cass(6) - Nakamichi DR-1 - Adobe Audition - wav@24/96 - flac@16/44
