In the book released Tuesday, Spears, 41, writes that Timberlake, 42, and the other *NSYNC members “tried too hard” to fit in with black artists, recalling an interaction between the “Cry Me a River” singer and Ginuwine, 53. “J got all excited and said, so loud, ‘Oh yeah, fo shiz, fo shiz! Ginuwiiiine! What’s up, homie?’” Spears claimed Timberlake said when greeting the “Pony” singer. Clips of Williams reciting the line from the audiobook have gone viral on X, the platform previously known as Twitter.
