Jordan Peterson calls on social media to regulate sadistic troll demons

Psychologist Jordan Peterson has explained why he believes social media needs to be regulated amid the rise of “sadistic troll demons”. Dr Peterson sat down with Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan to discuss the negative impacts the virtual world is having on society. “There’s always been criminals and quasi-criminals and troublemakers, and we have some mechanisms of regulation in the actual world and virtually no mechanisms … in the virtual world,” he told Mr Morgan. He said social media enterprises need to separate people with verified identities from anonymous users. “If the anonymous types want to post, no problem – but they shouldn’t get to post with the actual human beings.”
