Dando sequência à série de homenagens a grandes gêneros, iniciada com repertórios inteiros dedicados a clássicos do rock e do jazz, a formação mineira e se volta a um dos momentos mais especiais da história da música do século XX, não só por seu poder sonoro incomparável, mas também por seu papel histórico e mobilizador. Em “Lendas da Black Music”, o público é convidado a fazer essa viagem ao tempo, experimentando por meio dos arranjos da Orquestra Ouro Preto a estética e a musicalidade que marcaram gerações nos anos 60, 70 e início de 80, tendo como guia verdadeiros hinos da discografia dos Jackson 5 e seu mais carismático integrante, Michael Jackson, de “ABC”, “I’ll Be There” e “Can You Feel It”, chegando a “Don’t Stop Until You Get Enough”, mostrando a força desse artista que transitou, sempre com sucesso, por tantas décadas de ápice do estilo ao redor do mundo. E as surpresas não param por aí. Para abrilhantar a apresentação, a Orquestra Ouro Preto, através do Programa Vale Música, convida ao palco do Sesc Palladium, músicos e musicistas dos quatro cantos do Brasil que fazem parte do programa. Alunos de Belém (PA), Serra (ES), Corumbá (MS) e Brumadinho (MG) se juntarão à formação principal da Orquestra para ecoar toda atitude e groove da música negra. Uma verdadeira celebração que ignora os limites geográficos e ecoa o sonho de Martin Luther King.
