Edouard Wolff: Nocturne et Romanesca - No.2 Romanesca Edouard Wolff (1816-1880) was a Polish composer and pianist born in Warsaw. After learning piano under Zawadski, in 1828 he went to Vienna, where he became a pupil of Würfel. In 1832, he returned to Warsaw and took lessons of composition under Elsner, who is known as Chopin's teacher. In 1835, he went to Paris, where he was highly esteemed as composer, pianist and piano-tutor. Henryk and Józef Wieniawski, who are famous as violinist and pianist, were Wolff's nephews.
