Our resident Patch-Master Lucas takes you on a deeper dive of some more of BAM’s features. In the video Lucas is using an iPad running BAM, but don’t worry, you can keep up to speed with everything going on thanks to Lucas' commentary and also there’s a handy mouse pointer on the iPad to help. In this video Lucas is building another groove from scratch, starting with a sampled kick from the extensive factory he builds up the beat as we get a look at the analogue modelled 808 Hi-Hat, joined by one of our fantastic acoustic sampled snares. Check out the easy built-in reverb editing using the send functionality, and Lucas further fine tuning the reverb with BAM’s parametric EQ FX. Then we get musical with everyone’s favourite virtual analog emulation polyphonic synth ‘DRC’ in AUv3 form, laying down a funky bass line in no time! There’s a great little handy Sampler tip from Lucas regarding switching up the sample number in real time to create our conga jam in a single instance of Sampler - very useful! Have you worked out why our acid synth is called “Hofmann” yet? - Just a little reference that makes all of Team Imaginando smile :D There’s some sweet modulation action going on - and Lucas keeps everything under control once again with the built-in BAM compressor, and it’s ‘style’ parameter. 00:00 Intro 01:09 Track 1 - Kick, Sampler 01:26 Track 2 - Hi-Hat 01:50 Clip length double 02:25 Track 3 - Snare 02:53 All panels description 03:18 Master Fx, Sends 03:48 Reverb tuning 04:12 Parametric EQ tuning 05:10 Track 4 - AUv3 DRC Synth 06:50 Composer ; writing notes 07:29 Track 5 - Percussion ; Sampler engine- sample chosen by modulation 10:03 Track 6 - Electric Tom ; Drum Synth engine 12:28 Track 7 - Pad ; Oscillator 14:35 Chorus tuning 15:32 Track 8 - Hofmann engine 19:07 Frequency band compression 20:33 Side-chain compression 22:12 Matrix - Follow actions 24:14 Master FX - Saturator, Parametric EQ 25:42 Outro #beatmaker #beatmaking #musicmakerjam
