When Cornelia Figeson (ZaSu Pitts) and two of her friends are ditched by their husbands and left to suffer through grueling physical fitness exercises at a weight loss camp, they rebel by recruiting some local talent from a neighboring army base for a bit of fun. But when the girls invite hapless soldier Jerry Walker (Bob Hope) to provide them with male company, his fiancée, Winnie Porter (Betty Hutton), the proprietor of the camp, is none too pleased.
