This jazz tutorial, by Randy Hunter at takes you through 2 steps for creating melodic connections in your improvised jazz solos. Using the first 8 bars of the chord progression to the jazz standard, All the Things You Are, you'll learn how to become lesson dependent on the the roots of the chords as you created phrases that are connected using guide tones. These exercises establish a foundation for more complex sounds that can be explored in my lesson series called One Exercise All Chords. In this series, you'll learn how to expand these simple exercises to include flat 9's and neighbor tones. Here's a link to the series on my website: Learn more about my other jazz improvisation and beginning sax lessons at - Monthly Lesson Subscriptions - Randy Hunter Jazz Saxophone Instructor Atlanta
