This Resident Evil 4 Remake Speedrun Walkthrough shows the full game on Hardcore Difficulty with S Rank. The “S Rank Investigator“ trophy requires you to beat the game in 5 hours and 30 minutes. This video shows it in 4 hours 14 minutes, 26 seconds. Most importantly, S can only be achieved in a NEW GAME. You can't earn S in New Game . Meaning you have to start from scratch. Restarting checkpoints (hitting “retry“ after death) adds to your time! It won't reset time on checkpoint restart. A workaround is to quit to main menu and reload the last autosave from there. If something goes horribly wrong quit out to the main menu (pause game, press “end“), then click “load game“ and choose an autosave or manual save. Speedrun Tips: - It's easier if you unlock the Chicago Sweeper bonus weapon first by beating Professional with an A-Rank. The Pro A-Rank can be done in New Game Plus with Infinite Rocket Launcher (a weapon exclusive to NG that costs 2 Million ptas). Then you can pull the Chicago Sweeper from typewriter storage in Hardcore New Game. - Do as many early Merchant Requests as possible to get 30 Spinels. By the time you reach Castle you will be able to buy the Exclusive Upgrade Ticket from him to upgrade the Chicago Sweeper which gives it Infinite Ammo. - After upgrading Chicago Sweeper to Infinite Ammo the rest of the game is much easier. For Salazar and Saddler bosses you should still use a Rocket Launcher to defeat them in 1 hit and save time. - Run past all enemies. The only thing that matters for S rank is your total playtime. It doesn't matter how often you save or die or how many enemies you defeat.
