Thank you for watching! I found some square table mats at a shop the other day and thought it would be perfect to use as Furoshiki. But they were a bit plain as they were so I decided to stitch some Sashiko on them. In this video, I will draw and stitch the Fundo Tsunagi pattern. As this is a single layer cloth, the back of the cloth would be still visible after stitching. So I will explain how to choose a pattern to stitch and how to start and finish the stitches without making knots. If you are new to Sashiko, please watch my Sashiko basics videos as well to learn some basic tools and tips. Sashiko basics Part 1 tools and materials Part 2 how to start and finish Sashiko stitches Part 3 basic stitching tips you should know The table mat I stitched on was 50cmx50cm (about 20 inches) Its edges were not quite straight so I couldn't just draw a 50cmx50cm grid
