Open Heart Surgery: Aortic Root and Valve Replacement (Bentall Procedure) This operation was performed by George Lazopoulos in the University Hospital of Heraklion Crete. The Bentall procedure is a type of open-heart surgery to replace the aortic valve and aortic root. As mentioned in the beginning of the video, this patient presented to our department with dyspnea on exertion and was transferred to the OR to undergo a Bentall Procedure. Everyhting went well during the operation and the patient had an uneventfull recovery.
