At the end of October 1989, after nearly two months of a complex military-led recovery operation, a unique half-track vehicle was added to the collection of the Polish Army Museum. This was the heavy German tractor “FAMO“ – . 9, recovered from the Pilica River, and it turned out to be one of the few surviving examples of this type worldwide. The vehicle, produced by Germany during World War II in a quantity of around 2,500 units, is remarkable for its size and technical capabilities. Weighing in at 18 tons, the “FAMO“ was the largest half-track military vehicle used in the war, designed to tow the heaviest equipment, including large artillery pieces and tanks mired in rough terrain. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 🔥Support us : 💛Buy me a COFFE if you want to support us : 💛 OUR SHOP : 😃 FB Group ❤️ Do you like it?
