Using a pair of Mono KM86 Neumann microphones raised to 40ft at the top of the steps leading to the Choir. The organ being in three separate sections, the solo and pedal divisions in the South Transept and the remainder either side of the choir. The music was recorded on a Revox the same sessions, extra music was recorded for the composite record called “Organ Music from The Cathedrals of the Three Choir Festival” (Vista VPS 1060).The organ at Worcester is now in poor mechanical condition with severe wind leakage and is to be rebuilt by Messrs.
