Clever Dolls - made by sailors of the Grand Fleet when off duty, while waiting for the Germans to come out. (Title is seen in flash-frame, negative and backwards! - SL.) Location of events unknown. First; shot of about 7 dolls of different kinds; some standing on table; some held by women standing behind; a man reaches in front and touches the arm of one of the boy dolls. CU of 2 dolls in British military dress standing together. Then the scary shot - little boy doll in sailor suit stands there smiling; and; after a pause; he raises his right arm in a salute; lowers it again; and turns his head to the right and left. (Stop frame animation - SL.) This is very weird and spooky; bizarre; surreal. Oddities. Also on ON 410 M. G 354 A. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
