London Blitz. UN260B “YMCA Tea Car“ - various shots of cups of tea being handed to three people who emerge from an underground shelter or bomb damaged house. Man in uniform beside a van takes the cups back. M/S of postman walking down a badly bomb damaged street looking for a house which no longer exists. He eventually finds it - a woman in a sandbagged area of wreckage takes the letter. M/S of a young couple and old lady enjoying their cups of tea. Pan across to show other people all drinking cups of tea. Ends on a shot of a man in uniform holding a little girl in his arms and giving her a cup of tea. Behind him is a plaque on the van which reads: “Allied Relief Fund . to Great Britain.“ He smiles and talks to the girl as she drinks. C/U of an elderly woman drinking her tea. C/U of elderly man in a flat cap eating a bun and drinking his tea. M/s of crowd of women standing by the tea car being handed cups of tea. M/S of the YMCA Tea Car, pan across to show those gathered around it. High
